ABOUT THE PRODUCT
Marshmallow is a type of confectionery that is typically made from sugar, water and gelatin whipped to a solid but soft consistency. It is used as a filling in baking, or normally molded into shapes and coated with corn starch.
Marshmallows have a nice, long shelf life. Keep them in an airtight container with a little extra confectioners’ sugar. They should last for up to 3 weeks at room temperature.
Ancient Egyptians were the first to enjoy a gooey treat now called marshmallow as early as 2000 BC. The treat was considered very special and it was reserved for gods and royalty. Marshmallow was made from the mallow plant (Athaea officinalis) that grows wild in marshes.
